Meet Lori
Lori Randle serves as Dovetail’s Director of Design and is based in the Charlottesville showroom.
Since joining Dovetail in 2018, Lori has become a trusted leader within the company, known for her depth of experience, calm guidance, and ability to bring both beauty and functionality to every project. In addition to working closely with homeowners, builders, and contractors on new construction and remodeling projects, Lori serves as a key mentor and resource for Dovetail’s design team.
With more than 25 years of experience in design, installation, and project management, Lori brings a rare combination of creativity, technical expertise, and client care to her work. Her projects are known for their timeless style, thoughtful details, and strong emphasis on how people truly live in their homes.
A North Carolina native, Lori’s passion for design began early — she received her first sewing machine at just five years old and has been creating ever since. She attended Peace College before spending 12 years working for a fashion house, where she refined her eye for design while developing a strong foundation in fashion, sales, customer service, and relationship-building.
After marrying her husband, David, Lori relocated to Charlottesville, where they raised their two children, both graduates of Wofford College. What began as an unexpected opportunity on the sidelines of a soccer field ultimately introduced Lori to the world of cabinetry and kitchen design — a career path that quickly became her true passion.
Today, Lori is driven by helping clients transform ideas into spaces that feel deeply personal, welcoming, and enduring. She believes great design is about more than cabinetry; it’s about creating the backdrop for everyday life and meaningful memories.
